13 important things that Saudi expats need to know about re-entry visas new system

1. The validity of the re-entry visa is 30 days from the date of issue of the visa. (Earlier it was 90 days).
2. The employer will be notified of the issuance of the worker re-entry visa.

3. The worker can cancel the application for re-entry visa from Abshir within 10 days.

4. The sponsor will not be able to cancel the re-entry visa issued by the worker.
5. The worker can issue a re-entry visa from Abshir himself but as before the sponsor can issue a re-entry visa for the worker.

6. The worker cannot apply for a re-entry visa after the end of the written employment contract. (Summary that exit or sponsorship change is possible).

7. The worker cannot extend the re-entry visa. At the same time the sponsor can extend the validity of the visa even if it is issued by the worker.

8. The worker must have a iqama profession (not a profession like domestic workers). The worker must have a written employment contract.

9. Passport should be valid for a minimum of 90 days. Re-entry visa in Iqama must be of sufficient duration.

10. The worker must be inside Saudi. There should be no traffic fine.

11. If the worker does not go home on a re-entry visa and does not return to complete the contractual period, he or she will be barred from working in Saudi Arabia forever.

12. The worker must have an Abshir account to issue a self-entry.
