Try again
When you were young you meet different people, date girls, and then you fail… and then you try again. And then you fail again. You become this hopeless romantic who keeps believing the next one might be the one. Every time it ends you swear you’ve learned something, but somehow you still end up making the same mistakes.
But as you grow older, you start to realize what actually went wrong.
It wasn’t always bad timing or the wrong person. Sometimes it was you not knowing who you were yet. Sometimes you were chasing the feeling of being in love more than understanding the person in front of you. Sometimes you expected people to fill spaces in your life that you hadn’t learned to fill yourself.
And little by little it starts to make sense.
You realize that love isn’t just about chemistry or butterflies or late-night conversations that make you feel alive. It’s also about timing, patience, emotional maturity, and knowing what you really want—not just what feels good in the moment.
So you stop rushing it.
You stop trying to force something just because you’re afraid of being alone. You start valuing peace, honesty, and people who actually choose you, not just people who excite you.
And maybe you’re still a hopeless romantic… but now you’re a wiser one.
