The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ expressed a unique, mutual affection for the mountain.

Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it.”

Anas ibn Malik RA narrated that the Prophet Salalahu alaihi walihi waslm climbed Mount Uhud with Abu Bakr RA Umar, RA and ‘Uthman RA .The mountain shook with them, and the Prophet ﷺ struck it with his foot and said:”Be firm, O Uhud! For on you there are no more than a Prophet, a Siddiq (truthful one), and two martyrs.” (Referring to Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, and ‘Uthman).RA.
