Eid road trip diaries…. RIYADH TO ABHA

We took the longer route this time, with an overnight stop in Wadi Al Dawasir. The hotel was comfortable, the stay was relaxing, and after a fresh breakfast, we were back on the road toward Khamis Mushait and Abha.

Miles of open roads, mountain views, good conversations, and the joy of simply traveling together made the journey special.

After lunch in Khamis Mushait, we headed up to Abha’s High City for breathtaking views under a bright summer sun, then continued to the stunning Jabal Al Soudah.

The peak area was closed, but the scenery was still worth every kilometer.

We ended the day in our cozy little studio tucked between the mountains—tired, happy, and already in love with the next chapter of the trip.

After exploring the beautiful Rijal Almaa Heritage Village, we stopped by the Honey Cottage for a sweet little experience.

It was a warm afternoon and pleasantly uncrowded, making it easy to enjoy the views, learn about local honey, and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

The place is lovely as it is, but I can only imagine how magical it must feel on a cool, cloudy day when the mountains wear their misty charm.

A sweet stop that’s worth adding to your Rijal Almaa itinerary.
