Hi, I’m a landscape photographer from Iceland, now living in northern Sweden ☺️. Why did I leave Iceland to begin with?

Well, it’s a long story - but I met a Swede while backpacking in Asia 11 years ago and fell in love. We did long distance for a while, and eventually I decided to move to Sweden to be with her.

We lived in the capital, Stockholm, for 6 years. I made lots of friends, had two kids there, and so many good memories. But we wanted to try something different.

So we moved up north. A little crazy, tbh - we didn’t know anyone there 😂 and now we’re far from both our families. But it sounded fun.

And it’s been amazing. Beautiful, vast landscapes, magical winters, and really nice people. I even got myself a third little kid here!

As an Icelander married to a Swede, I probably shouldn’t say this 😅…but Norway might be the most beautiful place on the planet.

After years of living and photographing in Scandinavia, I can say without a doubt that Norway is a true paradise for us photographers. Absolutely magical, and I’m grateful to live so close to its border!

Editing vs RAW. The camera captures what I see, and the editing captures what I feel.

To me editing isn’t about changing a photo. It’s about bringing it to life. It’s where the colors, the light, and the mood finally match what I felt when I took it.

I can spend hours moving sliders around in Lightroom, constantly searching for that perfect tone and color combinations - I truly love it.

The power of masks 😎 Honestly… masks are where the real magic happens when you’re editing photos.

Would you travel to any of these places in Sweden? After almost a decade of living and photographing in Sweden, I still find new places all the time - it’s so big!

And for some reason most photographers go to Norway, Iceland, and Faroe Islands, but I’m telling you, Sweden is slept on for photographers!
