Want to get a more cinematic look in your photos in Lightroom? Follow these quick 3 tips from our photography minions đž:
1) TONE CURVE - Head to the point curve in the âTone Curveâ panel and create three points equally spaced out on the diagonal line. Next, lift the bottom left point up, until the âOutputâ beneath gets to 30. This will lift the blacks to replicate the signature âmatteâ effect you see in cinematic scenes. đż
2) CALIBRATION - To further get those signature cinematic colours, head to the âCalibrationâ tab and decrease âBlue Primaryâ hue -30, & saturation +15. This will give you the base for traditionally cinematic hues đš
3) MASKING - The final tip to add to your âcinematic editing arsenalâ is a moody radial vignette; head to the âMaskingâ tab in the adjustments panel and click on âRadial Gradientâ. Drag diagonally to surround your subject, and increase feathering +65, decrease exposure -0.6, and clarity -20. Thisâll provide a tailored vignette that focuses on your subject đ
