I am proud to share the forewords for my new photography book, The Earth We Share, written by two truly remarkable women.
First, I had the honor of having Dr. Jane Goodall write the foreword. I couldn’t think of a more inspiring voice for our planet. Sadly, Dr. Goodall passed away shortly after penning her words, making this one of her final messages about our planet and its incredible animals. Her words are a powerful reminder of our duty and responsibility to protect and cherish the Earth. it’s now our mission to carry her torch forward.
The second foreword is by Ellen DeGeneres. While many know her from her TV talk show, fewer are aware of her incredible work to protect wild gorillas. Ellen DeGeneres now runs the campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, dedicated to saving these magnificent creatures. Both women have done so much for our closest relatives, the great apes, and I am deeply grateful for their words and reflections.

I don’t just take wildlife photographs. My true passion is capturing portraits, whether they’re animals or humans. It doesn’t matter who they are. We are all living, breathing souls, connected by a shared essence. Behind our eyes, beneath our skin, beyond our fur, we all carry the same heartbeat and share the same deepest longings.

On the African plains, the lion pride rests peacefully, their bodies intertwined in a timeless moment. The rustle of grass, distant hawk calls, and warm sun imprint deep serenity in my soul. Long after I lower my camera, those quiet moments linger, an enduring peace, a soulful connection that only the wild can offer. In this vast, untouched sanctuary, I find a calm that transcends words, a harmony that stays with me forever.

Jane Goodall's foreword is likely some of her last words about our planet, as she wrote it shortly before her passing.
