It’s a blessing for the soul to just walk around in the beautiful and lush forest in Beijershamn, listen to birdsong and see the shimmer shining through the foliage. Here is a picture of a beautiful Spotted Flycatcher.

One of perhaps 1500 pictures of this beautiful harrier. I had had a brilliant day with many nice pictures of different species of birds including the Eurasian Golden Oriole which I got to see and photograph for the first time. Satisfied with the day so far, I drive up the eastern side along the coast of Öland and suddenly the harrier appears on the wrong side for me who is sitting and driving, stops and gets a few pictures that are okay. I turn the car around and park on the road, roll down the window and hang the bean bag on the door and then the harrier put on a show like no other, I think it came towards me at least 10 times and I almost thought it would sit on the roof of the car. When both the harrier and I were satisfied, I drove on for a few minutes to stop again and do the same thing again but this time I got some nice pictures of a Montagu’s Harrier... I will post those pictures later.😃🥳

It’s fine to photograph close-ups with a 600mm lens, like here when I photographed a Common Blue while I was waiting to take some pictures of a Barred Warbler.
