Let me ask you something. When is the right time to show up? To show up for your life and your business.
 My answer:
When you are ready, of course.

It is contradicting with many messages out there telling you that you’ll never feel ready, so you should show up anyway.
 Sometimes it happened like that, you showed up when you were forced by circumstances. But what if there are no forces of circumstances that put you in that situation?  I prefer to show up when I am ready. I mean, how do you get out of your apartment when you are not ready?
Sure, when I was late, I rushed out. But I didn’t do that all the time. I am sure the same with you too.  So I show up ONLY when I am ready.

"But but but....you would never show up then… if you are waiting until you are ready!" you insisted

NOT ACCURATE ;) at least for me, that sentence doesn't sit well with me.

Of course I’ll show up. Do you think I don’t want to get out? Do you want to get out? see what possible? of course you want.  Here is the twist! well, not a twist. A logic.   I PLAN when I am going to show up, I know when I am going to get out of the door, so I MAKE MYSELF READY. And sometimes in my planning stage, I ask for help from other people, a friend, a professional for their advise.
 So I can tell you most time I can show up now, I just need few hours, or minutes to get my self ready and after that, I’ll be out of the door. Please don't over complicate it.

Now to relate this with you as business owners, founders or creatives. Are you READY to show up for your business? Because Spring is here! 🌸

Hello Monday!

If you've been thinking to work with me as your brand photographer, I am sharing here the process how working with me look like. The 4 steps:

1. THE CONCEPT

Here where we are discussing about your ideas and vision as well as your target customers. This can also be a continued discussion after you did the free discovery call with me. I'll share also my ideas. If you are professionals/ individuals and just want to take headshots for your profile, we do this too.

2. PRE-SHOOT

We talk about location, the inspiration board and outfits and any follow up information from our earlier Concept meeting and other prep for the photoshoot day.

3. ON LOCATION

The photoshoot day and we are enjoying our day here! The only thing you need to do this day is just being you (and I hope you tried to get a good night sleep the night before ;) Even if not, no worries! I am skillful with my natural post-process edit.

4. POST-SHOOT

I will post process the photos using professional photo edit software. I am all my photos to look polished and natural. You will get uncapped amount of photos and that varies from 15-60 images or more (depends on the package you choose. This will take 5-10 working days until you receive it.

I'll follow up also with you to give you tips how to use all those images in your social media, etc.

Do you ever feel like you don't know where to start? There are too many choices and ideas, and you don't know which one is the right one, on and on.

Instead of seeing all those possibilities as precisely that word: possibilities, they become a hindrance. We fear choosing or doing the wrong thing and then regretting it. Or we are worried about how much this decision will impact all the hundred possibilities in the future.

Tired of thinking, we decided that it is safer not to do anything; in other words, nothing is being done. So now having all the possibilities becomes problematic.

Of course, I’ve been here too (and so often!), that’s why I can talk about it. I knew it back then when I felt a bit scattered. I felt excited that I could tell you, with different things in hand, but I felt scattered. That was not a good sign. What would happen then? Either the two, I felt overwhelmed and went to analysis paralysis or a series of dramas...

I wrote that on my Sunday Journal in my website. It is not long but not enough space to put it here... But there is a solution to this problem.

Can you start with something in the future?
-Nope. You start here.

Can you use something you don't have?
-Of course not. You can wish on something you would love to have. That at best it could do. Wish.

Can you do better than your best?
-What?! Better than Best? You mean bestest? is there even a word for this. My mind is an expert making up things ;) to avoid doing it.

And we are all smart adults, so we ignore it😅

We start where we are, use what we have and just do our best. period.

In my Sunday journal on my website, I shared my take about people’s strengths and how often they don’t realize they have it in them. Or if they do know it, they think it is just part of them and that it is normal. Nothing special to highlight. But of course that’s not true.

Because you and your experience and skills combined are truly unique. And of course, it is an interesting story to listen to. Especially if you are currently doing something you are passionate about and you want it to be meaningful to other people and want to share with more people. You can use that uniqueness as your superpower. I, for instance, would be inspired to hear what you are “cooking” right now, and what excites you.

Do you know your strengths (I call them superpowers)? Do you use it often? I am curious.   x,

Hello Monday!

I hope your week has started well.

I published a blog (or a Journal as I called it) in my website last week. I realized I like it more to write in long form than a caption.

It would be the space where I share different things from my work as a brand photographer, stories of inspiring individuals and businesses, what I've learned and maybe some fun stuff too like personal projects, travels.

I publish it on Sundays.

What's brand photography, again?

Personal branding is often misinterpreted as something related to your digital presence and your social media. It actually goes beyond that, beyond marketing.

It is how you communicate, how you treat people, and how people see you and remember you/ your business through all the touch points of your interaction with your audience. It is a long-term endeavour, not a short term.

Building a personal brand could bridge the gap between how you want to be perceived, what’s important to you, and what people actually think about you.

Personal branding is also a commitment you make to your audience, how you show up to them, in what way, and what sensorial experience you would like them to have about you / your business. It is a commitment to an emotional connection. ...

Help your customers and clients understand what you can help them with by communicating effectively through your images.

The images you use speak louder than the captions you write in social media or blog posts. Of course, the content is crucial, but the images that make the content/ caption stay in their memory. It connects with the caption they are reading.

Does the image truly capture what you are saying? Are they uniquely yours and of high quality, or just generic ones you've pulled from a free stock image bank? just like everyone else... Using your own will resonate more with your business and signal your professionalism.

I understand that creating high-quality images takes a lot of time and planning. As a professional photographer, I can take this task off your hands. Together, we can create a variety of business images (portraits, behind-the-scenes shots, etc), as many as the time allows, and you can use them whenever you need.

Images help me come up with captions of what to talk about. It also reminds me of what my business stands for.
