UPDATE: I am currently not taking any more clients as I want to concentrate on Sasha (the dog in my profile pic) who is suffering from seizures. The pawtrait sessions take up a lot of my time and energy and I do not want to commit to it if I know I am not able to give my clients my 100% effort. But I need to spend time trying to get her better, and if she cannot get better, I just want to spend time with her to make her happy. My apologies for not being able to take on anymore new clients. Thank you everyone for all the awesome support all these years! Sorry for no update yesterday. I was very busy with Mei Mei at the hospital, handling the discharge and making sure she was comfy once she was home. Yes, she is home now! Hooray! She seemed better yesterday, although still in pain. She had started to eat a bit so the vet felt she could go home and we also felt she wanted to go home. We could continue the pain meds orally at home. We are grateful to be able to bring her back. Hopefully she will continue to get better at home. As long as she will eat, we are ok. Thank you everyone for the continued prayers for Mei Mei! My family and I were so comforted knowing that so many friends were rooting for her ❤️. Thank you also to the wonderful staff of Beecroft! You guys are amazing. ❤️ 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Mei Mei has been warded. She has been in pain and not eating. Drs suspect pancreatitis, gastroenteritis and possible ivdd. She’s pretty drugged up now on pain killers and has a feeding tube inserted. However she did eat a bit when I visited her. Praying that the will get better soon! Jia you Mei Mei! Big thank you to the wonderful ECC and IMS team at Beecroft: Dr Anne-Claire, Dr Chiu and Dr Genevieve and the the caring nurses. I was told nurse Si Min sat on the floor with Mei Mei in her lap for two hours to keep her company. You guys are awesome!

I think it looks even better now that I added another row of photos to make it nine. And “nine” in Cantonese sounds like “dog”, which makes it even more apt.
Descriptions of the photos from top left to right:
Sonia - a beautiful Singapore Special who was up for adoption at Mutts & Mittens.
Patchy - dog rescued from the mudflats of Sungei Buloh and adopted by, Deborah, one of the volunteers there.
Hush - one of my earliest clients. Fur baby of Peilin and Hans.
Rex - a 10 year old retired K9 dog who left for the Rainbow Bridge on Feb 2, 2012. Finally succumbing to Insulinoma, a cancerous growth in the pancreas. He was very low in glucose as a result of this cancer which causes the pancreas to produce too much insulin. He was bedridden at Mutts and Mittens for 3 weeks before he finally passed on. Even to the end, his care givers said he was sweet, manja, cheerful and playful. Mama Leng and everyone he touched with his cheerful soul still miss him dearly.
Ruby - one of the kittens that Judith and I rescued from the carpark under Westlake restaurant. She was adopted by a lovely couple.
Rexi - rescue dog who was adopted by Pearly who is one of the greatest supporters of adoption.
Kaydon - beloved furbaby of Katherine, a good friend of mine who is great believer of adopting.
Bubble - one of my earliest and dearest clients. A beautiful spitz, whose pawrents, Eric and Hui Chiian, have become good friends as well.
Snooki - adoption photo of Snooki the Schnauzer. Snooki had gone through two owners. First owner did not take good care of her and kept me locked up in a cage all day. Her last owner gave her up to Mutts & Mittens cos she developed a skin irritation. I hope she managed to find a forever home.

Finally got around to putting up some of the photos hubby and I took when we were doing pet photography at DeDamselfly Photography. These were part of the catalogue of photos that we showed our clients. And I loved how there was a variety of pets, ranging from dogs for adoption, retired K9 dogs, beloved pets and rescued strays. Those were fun days, but oh so much hard work. I’m proud to say that hubs and I did good work. I’m proud of every photo we took. And we are glad we were able to bring happiness to all our clients. Who can recognise their pet here?

Oh and the two insects were not my clients but subjects from my macro photography era. 😂
