After booking me, Ryan and Javirea asked me a super deep question: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝘆 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸? 😳😳😳 Cheem cheem cheem hahaha

My answer came in two parts, but one part of my answer was this:

I once asked God why weddings are so precious to Him. And 𝗛𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲 that, in our lifetime, there are two moments when people gather to celebrate or remember your life: 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹.

And what’s beautiful about both is that there is a 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻.

People come from different seasons, different places and different chapters of your life, and for a moment, everyone is gathered together 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂. And 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂l.

So as a Christian photographer, whenever I photograph a wedding, my mindset is this: 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻. 🫶🏻

And it is such a privilege to be in this wedding business!! To witness these reunions, to document them, and ultimately, 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀. 🤍

BO BEH ZAO // NO HORSE RUN 🐴

A Singlish expression derived from the Hokkien phrase bo beh zao (無馬走). It describes something exceptionally good — so far ahead of the rest that there’s simply no competition. Nothing else can catch up.

So excited to finally be sharing this wedding set I shot at Monti during the National Day Preview! 🇸🇬

The fireworks display at Monti is absolutely spectacular. If you’ve always dreamed of wedding photos with fireworks, July Saturdays are definitely your best bet.

I still think about this set every now and then. We started in the evening, time was so tight, but I’m so glad everything came together so beautifully. 🥹🥹🥹

This was officially my first wedding that wrapped close to 1 AM! Matt and Rach definitely win the award for the ultimate party. 💃🕺🏻 
Seeing a couple create a day that is so authentically them brings me so much joy. The St. Regis Singapore basically became a club the minute dinner ended, and the energy was so high I would’ve stayed even longer if my 3-month-old baby👶🏻wasn’t waiting for me at home!  
Their wedding also gave me total family goals:  1) I want to be the cool parents who still stay up late and party with my kids down the road. 🤟🏻 2) I want that tight-knit, fun-loving bond that Matt’s family clearly has (the sibling montages were incredible). 
You know what’s the the best part of this job? You get a glimpse into a family’s heart and culture, how they love, support, and just have an absolute blast together. ✨

Last month with Ben and Xuan! 💍

Seeing how shocked Xuan was during the proposal was so heartwarming. She really had no idea what was coming! 😂

Originally, Ben and I planned for the cue to be, “Get your sunglasses,” so he could grab both the sunglasses and the ring from his bag.

But… THERE WAS NO SUN THAT DAY. 🤣 The first proposal attempt was hilarious because everyone just froze, and Ben ended up giving her a thumbs-up instead! (Slide 3 😂) He stunned, she stunned, I stunned… we were all stunned! It was honestly so funny, and I can’t wait to share the BTS soon.

It’s always such a privilege to witness people stepping into a new season of life, and I’m so thankful to have been a small part of such a special moment. ❤️
