Derek’s hobby in photography started when he helped to take his best friend’s wedding photos in 2005. Having witnessed blissful moments of the newlyweds, and being passionate about capturing finest and purest emotions in wedding events, Derek decided to become a Wedding Photographer.

Inspired by simplest things in life. It could be a small peck on the bride cheek by the excited bride-groom, or it could simply be a cheering image of kakis supporting the bride-groom on the gate-crushing day. Being a detailed person, Derek loves to shoot every single small things associated with the couples. He always looks out for an interesting perspective to every love story: candid display of love, laughter and emotions shared between the couples and their families. Derek’s personal satisfaction comes from capturing not only those beautiful moments, but also creating ever lasting memories to be remembered forever. Of course, all made in his trademark contemporary and journalist style. His friendly demeanor and attention to client’s requirements won him many friends among young couples. Derek always seeks feedbacks from clients, and he keeps himself up-to-date with techniques, inspirational ideas and technology on photography. Derek is also a member of Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) , International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) and Fearless Photographer.
