Where Creativity Meets Technology. 🎬

In August, OMG Studios, together with Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s School of Film & Media Studies, brought industry professionals together for The Future of Media — Virtual Production CET Programme.

Held from 17–19 August, the programme explored how virtual production is reshaping the way stories are visualised, produced and brought to life — connecting creative thinking with emerging production technology.

A meaningful few days of learning, experimentation and exchange as we continue building capabilities for the future of media.

A big thank you to all participants who joined this masterclass. We truly appreciate your energy, curiosity and willingness to explore how virtual production and emerging technologies are transforming the way stories are created.

Recently on set. 1965 through the camera. 🎥⏳

Behind The Time Travelling Hawker is the challenge of moving between different versions of Singapore while keeping the world around the characters believable.

That means thinking about more than the backdrop. The hawker stall, lighting, props, camera perspective, performance and surrounding environment all need to feel like they belong to the same moment in time.

Working alongside Red Ink Media, our team had a fun time exploring how Virtual Production could help shift the story between present-day Singapore and its past.

Now, turn the frame sideways… or rather, upright. 📱

One of the interesting challenges behind Eternal Night was creating these worlds for 9:16 vertical storytelling.

It sounds simple, but a taller frame changes how you approach a shot — from performer positioning and camera composition to how much of the virtual environment the audience actually sees.

For a story travelling between different eras and realms, that gave our production team plenty to experiment with.

Together with Aggregate Films and the wider crew, we explored how virtual production could work around a format designed for the screen most of us carry every day.

Production has officially wrapped on our latest virtual production short film!

A huge thank you to the incredible team OMGStudios and every member of the Red ink media family. Your professionalism, dedication, creativity, and teamwork made this ambitious production possible. Every challenge became an opportunity, and every shot was a testament to what passionate people can achieve together.

This project represents more than just another film. It reflects our commitment to pushing the boundaries of storytelling through virtual production, cutting-edge visual effects, AI-powered workflows, and emerging filmmaking technologies. As the media landscape continues to evolve, we believe innovation isn’t something to chase. It’s something to help shape.

We’re excited to continue exploring new ways to tell bigger, bolder stories while delivering world-class productions for our clients and audiences.

Now… the cameras may have stopped rolling, but the real magic begins in post-production. We can’t wait to share the finished film with everyone.

Working alongside Aggregate Films and the wider creative and production team, OMG Studios supported Eternal Night across multiple timelines, realms and visual environments.

Exploring a career in media starts with experiencing the industry firsthand.

Sometimes, seeing the technology up close and speaking to the people behind it can make all the difference. That's exactly what Media Career Connect was all about — not a traditional job fair, but an immersive media experience that brought together studio exploration and career networking.

OMG Studios opened its doors to participants exploring career opportunities in the media technology industry. Through employer sharing sessions, meaningful conversations, a live Virtual Production demonstration, and an engaging studio tour, the afternoon offered a closer look at the people, technologies, and career pathways shaping the future of Singapore's media industry.
