Authorities have confirmed that 17 people have been killed and 9 others injured following a ruthless afternoon ambush on a humanitarian convoy in Duk County.

The attack, which specifically targeted aid workers and vehicles delivering critical assistance, has been attributed to the Murle Armed Militias according to sources.

The Abuodit Youth Development Association (AYDA) leadership, speaking for the whole community put out this statement to totally condemn the brutal and cowardly shooting of young people from Abuodit.

The victims, accused of animal poaching were shot between June 27 and 28, 2026, in Bor Town.

The community sees this excessive force as a complete disregard for the law.

The youths shot are Alith G*i Ayuen and Thon G*i Chop, who got terrible life-threatening wounds.

The leadership is urging the Commissioner of Bor County's office to investigate this recurring shooting and hold those responsible accountable.
