Traditional wedding of Apuk Agor & Arual Cyer begins with oxen showcase in Kuajok
The family of Agor Wol Agor (Agor Manykom) and Mama Akoot Angok warmly invite family, friends, relatives, and the public to witness the grand presentation of 20 oxen in honor of their son, Apuk Agor Wol (Apuk Muor Anyar), as he weds his bride, Arual Cyer Baak (Arual Timatiep) from Adiang Mayomdit in Twic Mayardit.
The event takes place today, March 6th, 2025, in Kuajok town.
Following the oxen showcase in Kuajok, the celebration will continue with a journey to Wunrok, Adiang Mayomdit, where the final oxen presentation and dowry handover to the bride’s family will occur.
In Wunrok, the wedding festivities will be held at the bride’s family home according to Jieeng cultural traditions, where both families will bless Apuk and Arual as husband and wife
