The Bar Association applauds the step taken by the Chief Justice of South Sudan to enforce the Constitution on the use of English language in Courts in accordance with Article 6(2) of the Transitional Constitution of South Sudan, 2011 (As Amended).

This move has been overdue and it's finally here with the recent enactment of the East African Community Act, 2026 , a law domesticating the East African Community Treaty in the Republic of South Sudan.

All Advocates are hereby encouraged to abide by this order and adhere to the constitution as the grand norm as stipulated by our able Chief Justice in this Circular.

The leadership of Twic East Youth Association (TEYA) Juba wishes to inform its members and the general public that the Chairman of TEYA Juba, William Deng Jr Kuir Bul, has safely returned to Juba together with the delegation that traveled on the official flood assessment and d**e inspection mission to Twic East, Duk, and Bor areas.

The leadership thanks Almighty God for His protection, guidance, and the successful completion of the mission aimed at assessing flood-affected areas and identifying urgent locations requiring d**e repair, maintenance, and construction.

TEYA leadership further appreciates all government officials, stakeholders, and partners who participated in this important initiative toward addressing the recurring flooding challenges affecting our communities.

First Lady Honors Kiir’s Bodyguards After Torn Suit Incident in Uganda

President Salva Kiir Mayardit’s bodyguard, Aloro Machol Lual and his colleagues received a hero’s welcome from First Lady Mary Ayen Mayardit for their dedication in protecting the president during a tense encounter with Ugandan security at an entrance checkpoint.

Despite his suit being torn during the incident, Aloro remained on duty.

Upon arrival in Juba this afternoon, video surfaced showing the First Lady presenting him and his colleagues with flowers in recognition of his loyalty and commitment.
