The Space Bangkok

The Space Bangkok An established multimedia creative venue overlooking the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok.

The Space was a project initiated and supported by photographer James Nachtwey in an open-plan 250 square meter loft, with views overlooking the Chao Phraya River. The Space was for exhibitions, book launches, events, parties, workshops and seminars for three years, but THE SPACE CLOSED IN 2015 and no longer exists.

...well, Friends, it's true. The space in Bangkok that has been The Space Bangkok will no longer be home to the particularly peculiar and truly random blend of music, art, food, photography, dance, poetry, fellowship, workshops, and good old fashion parties to which it's been our honor to play host.

There will be more messages to come from us because there's so much more to be said, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if you've been a contributor to, a participant in, a partaker of, been touched by, been amazed by, been really sad to have missed anything that's happened here, let us and everyone know. Lay a bouquet of words and pictures on The Space's Facebook doorstep; because we're grieving and will find some solace in reminiscence and camaraderie.

Thanks to absolutely everyone that's helped make this space The Space Bangkok.
