Japanese Garden in Istanbul 🌸⛩🌸 Japon Bahçesi / Baltalimanı 🌸İstanbul’da Japon Bahçesi mi varmış?? Bu fotoğrafları görenlerden aldığım ilk tepki oldu :) Türk Japon dostluğu adına yapılan bahçe sakura zamanı çok güzel oluyor. Ama beklentinizi yükseltmeyeyim küçük bir bahçe, sayılı kiraz çiçeği ağacı var. Bu sene maalesef kapalı; ben geçen sene ziyaret etmiştim. Bu sene geçen hafta uğradım ve dışardan bu iki fotoğrafı çektim. 🌸💗🌸

Pandemi nedeniyle İstanbul'da uygulanan sokağa çıkma yasağında, İstanbul'un değişik semtlerinden çekilmiş videoları derledim. Videolar evlerden ve cep telefonu ile çekildi (sadece ilk video drone çekimi). Yaşadığımız olağanüstü bu dönemde, tarihe tanıklık edeceğini düşündüğüm bu videoyu umarım beğenirsiniz. İstanbul'un sessizliğini kuş cıvıltıları ile dinleyelim.

Sicilia bella 💚🤍❤️
We spent 8 full days on the island, starting our trip in Palermo and ending in Siracusa. A friend asked me, 'it’s only one island and 8 days for it; weren’t you bored?' No! It wasn’t enough :) Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. We still couldn’t see the south and southwest part of it and if we had more days, we would definitely stay more! Who wants to be on this beach, hugging a beloved one? I vividly remember staying in this crystal clear turquoise water for 3 full hours, partly swimming and partly watching Italians enjoying the beach. Such good memories. Sardinia coast is called Costa Smeralda meaning Emerald coast because of these beautiful beaches. It lives up to this name and Sardinia turned out to be one of my favorite holidays. 💙💚💙💚

Miracle Garden continued... We all need miracles. At times like this, I contemplate whether to post travel photos on Instagram or not. Hope is a strong medicine and at times like this we need positive thoughts. They say planning a trip is actually part of the traveling because it makes you happy as if you are actually traveling. At times like this, planning for the future and making travel plans for when we get through this, will give us something to hold onto. 🙏 All my prayers go to the ones struggling with the disease and the medical teams and all who are at the forefront of this pandemic. 🙏🏻💐

If we are not able to travel, let's travel virtually and explore new places! I was in Abu Dhabi this December, visiting my friends of 25 years. As much as I enjoyed their company, warm weather and beaches, I also spent some of the days for photography in places that were pretty crowded and busy. These photos are from the Sheik Zayed Grand Mosque which has a capacity of 4000 visitors; it is the largest mosque in UAE. No matter how much you cover up with scarves and long sleeves, they make you wear the traditional abaya if you are female (as seen on photo). This trip was before the corona outbreak. Last 2 weeks, I still went out for photography with some cautions. One thing that strikes me is, when people see me alone taking pictures with a professional camera, they immediately think that I am the most eligible person to take their photo. I used say yes to this but recently I am declining their requests. Firstly I cannot spend half of my time taking people's photos. Secondly and more importantly, I am not going to hand someone else's phone which continuously touches their hands and facial area. They also shouldn't hand their phones to me. Actually I am quite astonished that people cannot see this and try to hand their phone to me all the time! Please keep this in mind folks. I will give more details about the mosque in my next post, stayed tuned.
