Collision. Energy on energy. Like tectonic plates or great ocean currents. The Congolese actor Godeliv Van Der Brandt on rollerblades in a street market in Istanbul. Neither stopping for the other. Two unstoppable forces. An actress on wheels struggling with her lines asking the jostling crowd for help and receiving it in the shape of that hat. A gift for her, a gift for me. She came to life in that moment, work perfect for the rest of the day.⁠
