Today I start sharing with you a series of lebanese women's portraits. STRONG LEBANESE WOMEN.
🍃 Hyam Yared, writer, among her titles La Malédiction, L'Armoir des ombres. She's a trong woman, determined, clear, forthright and homely. Mother of 5 children, she's everybody's mother and an independent woman altoghether. Her eyes indicate we can get closer without harm. Generous, smiling, sometimes absent-minded and in love with words. The bearing axes of her work is the acceptance of vulnerability as a door toward inner acceptance. Master when it comes to tell about feelings, to undress them in front of mirrors of homes of houses of shelters of caves of nests. Refuges that protect from war, barbarity, horror. During the photoshooting, her late grandmother's spirit is with us, alma mater of the 'Yared universe' and nourishig Hyam in her attempt to explain the world to herself and to others.
