靜靜守護彰化的歲月

一隅台灣 EP.09／八卦山大佛 Baguashan Buddha

彰化平原高處，有一尊靜靜俯瞰城市的大佛
低眉的慈容，見證了數十年的光陰
陪伴著這座城市的日出與夕照

1961年落成的釋迦牟尼佛像
曾是全台最具代表的地標之一
從校外教學到日常記憶，幾乎每個人
都曾在祂面前留下笑容

順著參佛道而上，三十二尊觀音靜立兩側
風吹過菩提葉，像時間在山風中緩緩呼吸

而當夕陽墜入西海，整座城市被金光包裹
佛身也染上一層柔和的光，靜靜守護這片美好

On the hills above Changhua,
a Buddha watches over the city.
Built in 1961, it has seen the years pass—
sunrise, sunset, and countless memories below.

At dusk, wrapped in golden light,
it quietly guards this land.

位於中央山脈南二段，海拔 3,310 公尺
是台灣第二高的湖泊，僅次於雪山翠池

布農族祖先稱它 cidanumas buan —「月亮的鏡子」
深藍如寶石的湖水，也被登山者喚為天使的眼淚

When an angel’s tear falls to earth.

Located in the southern section of Taiwan’s Central Range,
at 3,310 meters above sea level,Jiaming Lake is the island’s
second-highest alpine lake, after Cuichi on Xueshan.

For the Bunun people, it is cidanumas buan — “the mirror of the moon.”
To mountaineers, its sapphire-blue waters are known as the tear of an angel.
