An orca female spy hops in the fjords of Northern Norway. Her calf was super rambunctious on that day and constantly approached us with gifts of jellyfish underwater. I am just guessing here but I honestly think that mom was having a hard time keeping her kid under control. No cribs, no jolly-jumpers, or soothers…just a vast ocean to play in and some strange intruders to play with. Thanks mom!

'Morning Mist' / I spend a lot of time working to create pleasing compositions, but beautiful moments will occasionally surface all by themselves. These three orcas, for example, appeared in one instant and were gone the next, with only a fine mist shimmering in the light to remember them by. 'Frozen Highway' / A Greenlandic hunter controls his team of huskies during a run to the ice edge, where he will hunt to feed his community. These hardworking dogs live to pull, so much so that mushers struggle to keep them from taking off with half-loaded sleds in tow. This photograph is my attempt to capture the remarkable co-dependency of the relationship between the Inuit and their dogs. Serval cat mother and kitten. The magical They were so tiny so most of the time they were behind tall grass. We were blessed with a clear view in the last evening. The kitten showed so much affection to mom that she melted my heart.
