Hope Restored in Angagura Sub County, Pader District
Yesterday, LR Media Initiative Limited in partnership with Neurxtend Foundation successfully delivered humanitarian support to over 100 households, reaching 437 individuals affected by Nodding Syndrome in Angagura Sub County.
This support included clothes, blankets, food items, sanitary pads, soap, shoes, plates, cups, and other essential items generously donated by our partners including Santa Foundation, Women Rise, Hon. Betty Aol Ocan, Hon. Christine Lanyero Larem, Hon. Dr. Gilbert Olanya, Mother Martina Kindergarten and Primary School, Ambrosoli Creations, Hotel Valent Gulu, individual donors, and many well-wishers.
This intervention was inspired by the 2024 documentary produced by LR Media Initiative Limited, which exposed the challenges faced by these families, including stigma, malnutrition, poor housing, and limited access to support. The documentary led to the formation of Neurxtend Foundation, which continues to provide nutrition support and is working towards introducing telemedicine services.
Our journey is not over. We are now planning psychosocial support programs for these families and invite development partners, organizations, and individuals to stand with us.
Together, we can restore hope and dignity.
Your Story Counts.
