Western Cape beach waters are still highly contested along racial lines. The sight of black bodies and sometimes (coloreds) freely enjoying these waters is a rare one, it shouldn’t be. Right?

When you do get to see them, it won’t be along for example Clifton1, Clifton 2 or 3 beaches as these are barely separated by live wire home fences of Super rich white folks along the Atlantic.

Because you and me might think since the Apartheid ended and well South Africa finally received independence all humane dignity should be upheld. But to my experience it is all Subliminal ( injustices along racial lines hidden in plain sight).

But I went to Monabisi beach in Khayelitsha, along the Indian Ocean coastline and that day I discovered happy black and colored people fishing, families dining and everyone else swimming.

I also must mention that there was no single White man or woman at this beach.

The Chief priest/ Monk of “Biete Abba Libanos” church poses with an Orthodox ☦️ inside his house in the compound of the church in Lalibela- Ethiopia.

These crosses are elaborate, stylized in design and remarkedly distinct from the similar European crosses. They are made from elaborate latticework, the intertwined lattice represents everlasting life.

It should also be noted that the Ethiopian Orthodox Church believes that Jesus Christ has one nature that is solely divine, instead of two that are both divine and human.

The Past, the Present, & the Future.

Women In Farming,
“I grew the cotton for your clothes” cont>>

In most Ugandan traditions Women have been the cultivators and custodians of land, even though not necessarily the owners of that land they continue to pass on the traditions of ecological and green-farming to their bloodline and entire community.

The concept of Ujama ( family-hood), the idea that for example if someone/ a household in the neighborhood doesn’t own land can still be apart of a collective cultivation and harvest, share the produce is of great essence and the concept is still embraced to date.
