Emmanuel Walusimbi, a media and communications coordinator, graduated in 2016 from Green Bridge Open School of Technology as a multimedia student. Emmanuel has been in the field of community work for the last three years as a volunteer with Reach a Hand Uganda, Family Life Network as a peer educator and worked with Kyuka Yo

uth Outreach as a communications officer. He is an advocate for the rights of young people so that they can live a positive and meaningful life through his work as a social media and a community facilitator for Plan International Uganda under the Champions of Change project. He is proud and happy to be part of GUIU because it is growing his capacity in community and social work.

In 2024, I joined .women.foundation Women and Safe Girl Initiative in a walk for pads from Mpigi to the Equator (Kayabwe). The goal was to collect menstrual hygiene and scholastic materials for girls and boys in Luuka District and the impact was truly meaningful.

This year, on 13th February, we are walking again with an even bigger goal: to provide 1,000 SafeGirl reusable menstrual kits to those in need.

Each kit including a bag, vest, and bottle costs UGX 35,000.
