Box 110144 Kampala, Uganda RE-LAX BANG AFRICA CO LTD (RBA) is a visual and audio recording company established in 2019 working to support youths and other target groups in Uganda to engage in nature based initiatives for their socio economic growth. At the formation, it focused on the discussions from the 2018 World Wetlands Day (WWD) celebrations held in Arua the Ministry of Water and Environment
(MWE) on the need for youth engagement in conservation of nature. During the celebrations the promoters of the RBA were recognized by UNDP through the Ministry as the Young National Wetlands Champions of 2018 as a result of Music and creative arts. The idea was carried forward and gave birth to RBA Company focusing on using music and arts to disseminate positive messages as a contribution towards nature conservation for youth to derive employment benefits from it and realize improved and sustainable livelihoods. Currently, RBA has built its experience of engaging on issues related to protection and conservation of natural resources from local to national level. Through music, the Company has built relationships with multi stakeholders comprising of youths NGOs, creative artistes both women and men, state agencies like Ministry of Water and Environment, development partners, media among others. RBA is also building competence in mobilizing, organizing and inspiring youths for collective action, supporting the nurturing of talents, idea generation, strengthening cultural identities and promoting values of nature towards youth employment and job creation. The Company targets passionate and multi-talented youth who are ready to use their natural talents to create their own jobs to improve their own livelihoods. Ultimately, the direct beneficiary of its services is the typical hopeless youth challenged with limited incomes, joblessness, poverty and cannot support themselves and their families. To effectively engage and contribute towards the National Development Agenda, Re-Lax Bang Africa will use music to enhance partnerships with influential youth NGOs, academic institutions, development partners, media, government institutions, creative artists, religious and cultural institutions among others at various levels. Using music and creative arts, RBA will focus on producing and promoting music composed of messages on conservation of nature that will be disseminated among Ugandans to educate, inspire and change people’s mindset on how they manage natural resources for improved livelihoods, poverty eradication and sustainable income generation for all. The Company will identify, educate and create platforms for multi-talented youths as ambassadors and change agents to undertake awareness campaigns throughout the country using music and creative arts. RBA will encourage those youths to undertake entertainment and edutainment activities linked to nature protection and conservation to support their household food security and incomes.
