Hey Hoof Beats fam. This breaks my heart to have to post this. I was so excited to be back to opening my business again and working as a photographer. Unfortunately, life has other plans for me at this time. I was diagnosed this week with stage four Burkitt’s Lymphoma, an extremely aggressive cancer. Sadly, this isn’t my first time having to go through this same diagnosis; I had been diagnosed at 20 years old 12 years ago and had gone into remission. It’s supposed to be cured if it doesn’t return in five years, but here it is again over ten years later. My treatment requires me to stay in Seattle at University of Washington Medical Center for the next several months undergoing intense chemotherapy. Because of this, I won’t be able to work from home a long time, possibly close to a year. Life goes on and financial hardship is strong at this time: I’m stressing about how I will afford upcoming medical premiums, my mortgage, my car, utilities, housing in Seattle, groceries and so on. If you have it in your heart to help me, I would be so grateful. I will fight this as hard as I’m able to so that I can brag about beating this beast of a cancer not to once, but twice. 💚
