Lately I’ve been loving a trend that feels so intentional and full of meaning - having each bridesmaid carrying a different bloom pulled from the bride’s bouquet 🤍

All unique, all in different seasons of life, all showing up for their girl in the most beautiful way… and together it creates something even more special than the bouquet itself✨

I’ve officially recouped and recovered from last weekend’s double wedding weekend and somehow we’re already gearing up for another one 🫡

I’ll be in New Orleans all weekend photographing two beautiful weddings. There is just something about New Orleans weddings that feels extra magical and I already know this weekend is going to be full of so much love, music, and probably a little bit of chaos in the very best way.

I say it all the time but I truly love my job and I never take for granted that I get to document days like these.

Even though the rain decided to show up for most of the day, it truly did not matter one bit. Victoria was glowing, laughing, and soaking in every moment like nothing could touch her joy.

Some sessions just have this feeling about them. The kind where you can immediately tell that two people are so deeply in love that it almost surrounds them. That is exactly how Hannah and Steven’s engagement session at Long Vue house and gardens felt 🤍☁️ what a day this was

Driving toward Lafayette for Elise’s wedding felt a little out of character for me — I don’t usually photograph out that way, and honestly I’m not even sure what made me say yes at the time.

But looking back… I’m so, so glad I did.

Being surrounded by Elise and her family felt like stepping into a space that was already warm, welcoming, and full of love. Getting ready inside her childhood home was one of those moments you can’t recreate Every nook and cranny held memories, stories, little pieces of the life that led her here.

And her mom… a florist who designed every single wedding flower and absolutely killed it. She even transformed their fireplace into the most meaningful floral installation for such a special day — layered with intention, history, and love. She even sent me home at the end of the night with the most beautiful bouquet (see end of slide).

I will forever adore when brides choose their childhood homes for getting ready. It adds a depth and life to your wedding album that you can feel long after the day is over.

Some wedding days unfold exactly as planned.
And then there are the ones that ask you to trust a little harder.

Amanda & Driskell had the dream mapped out , portraits in Jackson Square, vows at the cathedral, New Orleans doing what she does best. And then… it poured. Like really poured. No breaks. No “just five more minutes.”

So we got creative.
We moved every piece of furniture in their Airbnb living room about a million times, turned the music all the way up, laughed, danced, and made absolute magic in the middle of the chaos. It was unpredictable, wildly cathartic, and one of those days where creativity just flowed because trust was there from the start.

A little advice for my brides: don’t let anything rain on your parade (literally). When you’re in love and willing to lean in, we can create the most beautiful images absolutely anywhere …and have the best time doing it.

Amanda, I adore you in a way that feels rare in this job. This wedding will be one I reflect on again and again, and I’m so grateful I got to witness the two of you choosing joy no matter the forecast. 💛

Today, I’m hiding inside from the cold, coffee in hand, still riding the high from yesterday’s wedding ☁️
I waned to share a few of my favorite moments from Amanda’s bridal session from a few weeks back. She moved through her session with such ease, graceful, calm, completely herself, and watching that same energy unfold again on her wedding day felt so full-circle. Some brides just flow… and Amanda did that in every way. The rain, wind, and dark weather didnt stop us. We were fun, creative, and full of energy taking every single photo in the livingroom of their air bnb and yall…it was pure chaotic magic ✨ I cannot wait to share it all with you 🫶🏼
