Getting stuff together for the studio!

Some fun news! Even tho were under another shutdown, I will be taking the time to create my bo***ir studio space for when it opens back up. I will also have a separate business/page/name for my bo***ir photography which will be my main focus. I will still be doing weddings, family, events etc. but for now I want to put energy into my passion! I will be making a closed bo***ir page for women who would like to join!

But first things first....I NEED A NAME! Drop a suggestion if you have one! There may be a free shoot in it for you 😉

Exciting news on the horizon!!! 1. I will be moving my photography in the direction of mostly bo***ir (but will still be booking for family shoots, wedding, etc) and 2. I will be creating a bo***ir studio space to photograph bo***ir clients! And I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED! That's been the hardest part of embarking on full time bo***ir, not having a space to host my clients. I'm currently in the designing stages of it but will be opening bookings shortly! Also all bookings will take measures to protect against COVID-19, like temperature checks, sanitized area before and after, masks and no contact while social distancing.

Thanks for your patience while I put everything together and please consider being one of the first clients to book this beautiful space! Will share photos soon!

I made the choice to speak up, tell my truth, and call out a predatory man in power... and although it was terrifying, I felt it was necessary to expose the corrupt side of the bo***ir world. Ewan was a well known photographer, with his wife Brianna selecting and grooming these women that he could photograph and push the limit on their comfort levels for their own agenda.

Before I knew it, I had over 15 messages, all from women with similar allegations and worst stories than mine. Being cherry picked and asked to model. My heart is broken for all the women who have now stepped forward after hearing my story, reading their stories, and knowing I was not crazy and their stories validated how I was feeling.

As women we are sexually harassed often, we grow numb to it, and we accept it. But enough is enough, NO MORE! I was tired of wearing a fake face and I decided it was time to call out all the bu****it and expose it.

This is me telling you to stop taking the s**t. Stand up for what you feel in your gut is right.

1. USE YOUR VOICE! I was able to say no. I was able to walk away so many women weren’t able to. So many women were pushed far past their comfort level and that is not okay.

2. Just because he didn’t touch you doesn’t mean it isn’t sexual harassment. Coercing you to do things you’re not comfortable with is still valid.

3. If you’re uncomfortable, get out. Separate yourself. It doesn’t matter how popular or famous they may be. They can still be jackasses.

4. Grooming is real. Cherry picking is real. Be aware of people’s intentions when you’re modeling for them and know your limits.

5. Lastly, know it was not your fault. Know that you did not choose this and that you deserve more. You did not bring this upon yourself. You are brave and strong.

I will always stand up for you. I will always use my voice to spread awareness and self love. We all deserve respect.
Today I learned that I had more support in this community than I had ever imagined. I no longer felt alone, the educators, admins, and fellow bo***ir photographers all stood up with me and helped fight a fight much bigger than we all expected.

I love you all, I love all the people I have met through DoMore and I’m happy to see it burn down after all these allegations and turn into something better! Thank you to all the women strong enough who shared their stories too, to all the male photographers who stood by us women, and to all the bo***ir photographers who stood up for us when our voices were silenced. I love you all.

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the genuine laughs, loving glances and happy moments between these two. They were so much fun to work with and down for anything, water, sand, braving kiawe thorns to get into the bushes. They made it so easy to document their relationship because they were totally and completely themselves and just enjoying the process. Serious couple goals right here.
