I’m a sucker for the monochrome 🖤🤍

Looking back at some of my favorite B&W moments from the Laura Collett clinic this past winter 👀

One of my favorite things is looking back at past images with a new eye. Whether it’s changing the crop, switching to black & white, or just admiring a photo I didn’t notice before, I love giving some of my older photos new life. I think it challenges my creativity in a way that taking new photos doesn’t.

I think the monochrome versions of these photos add a bit of drama, don’t you agree?

Hi friends 👋 new faces means it’s time to re-introduce the girl behind the lens again!!

I’m Madi - your resident Crazy Horse Girl 🦄, Memory Maker 📸, and Treat Dispenser 🍎(this is my most important title). I am the founder and sole operator of Heart Horse Media - everything you see on this page comes from me, and I try to sprinkle as much magic in as possible.

Before a few major injuries forced me into early retirement, I was a full-time professional horse girl. While that feels like another lifetime at this point, the years I spent riding and training for a living were what shaped me into who I am today. Shifting to the creative side of the horse world wasn’t an easy transition, but my passion for horses and for storytelling has made this new “job” something special.

In addition to running HHM full time, I’ve also recently taken on the position of being an Assistant Barn Manager and Instructor at a Riding School. I’ve even been working on getting my butt back in the saddle. Besides being a Treat Dispenser 🍎my favorite part of this job is watching my students develop in their skill set and their confidence. My teaching philosophy revolves around the fundamentals and just enjoying your time in the saddle. 🚨Reminder to anyone that needs it - riding is supposed to be fun!

Outside of horses (wait, there’s an outside of horses??) I am a baseball fanatic, I enjoy experimenting in the kitchen or reading a good book, and I can usually be found dancing to one tune or another (or the song I’ve made up in my head). I love a long walk, can’t survive without White Cheddar Cheez-Its, and have an “emotional support” water bottle by my side at all times. I’m also a pretty big mental health advocate.

If you’re new here, welcome to the party, and if you’ve been here for a while, thanks for sticking around for all the crazy. I’m so grateful to have built such a special community of passionate and kind people. My business wouldn’t run without YOU, and it means the world to me that you decided to join my little corner of the internet.
