And it got me thinking about a common question we get at the Headshot Guys. How often should we get our headshot updated? We recommend every 2-3 years, but there may be situations where you may want to update it more frequently:
Significant Changes in Appearance: If you've changed your hairstyle, lost or gained weight, grown or shaved facial hair, or made any other important changes, it's a good idea to update your headshot to reflect your current look.
Career or Role Changes: If you've transitioned to a new role or industry or have had a significant career change, updating your headshot can help reflect your current professional image.
Branding Updates: If your personal or company branding has changed, a new headshot can help align with the new image.
Increased Public Presence: If you're becoming more visible in your industry through speaking engagements, media appearances, or online content, a fresh headshot can ensure you're putting your best face forward.
