Almost a year ago, I designed this set for a story-driven session, and without realizing it at the time, it became a turning point for me. This was one of the first times I built an environment around a person’s story instead of just choosing a location. It pushed me into thinking differently about atmosphere, mood, and how a space can hold a feeling.

Over the past year, I’ve learned so much about lighting, atmosphere, and bringing ideas to life in ways I couldn’t have imagined then. Lately, I’ve been feeling pulled back to this set... not to recreate it exactly, but to explore it again with everything I’ve learned since.

Revealing the next release in my 7 Deadly Sins series.... Lust! Just in time for Valentine’s Day. 🌹

Historically, the word “sin” comes from ideas of excess, overabundance, and human impulses stretched beyond balance. This series explores that exaggeration, not as judgment, but as a way of making something deeply human impossible to ignore.

Lust is often reduced to sexuality, and this set embraces that visual language. However, at its core, lust is desire itself - longing for love, power, wealth, knowledge, control, becoming. A reminder that wanting is layered, powerful, and part of what makes us human.

Hidden throughout are symbolic details that nod to the many forms desire can take. Lust is deeply human, and how you interpret it is part of the experience. This an invitation to look closer at what desire means to you.

Winter has a funny way of making time feel louder. Everything slows down just enough to notice how much life has changed within it.

This sweet momma is my stepsister, and getting to photograph her stepping into this new chapter felt like pressing pause on a moment we’ll have only once. I recently came across an old snowy photo from when I rented a dress and she modeled it for me just for fun, and seeing that memory beside this one was a quiet reminder of how quickly seasons turn into milestones.

That’s just one reason why I love capturing moments like these. They’re little anchors in time... proof of where we were, who we were, and how beautifully life keeps unfolding as it continues.

I’ve been leaning into that same appreciation for my present life, creating more intentionally, finishing new pieces in my space, and building environments meant for stories like this. My newest set is open to book throughout February, and creative concepts I’ve been sharing will soon live in highlights for inspiration.

Oh, to love and be loved.

It feels like such an honor to have this be the first post of the year. A really strong, beautiful way to begin, truly.

I’ve photographed this beautiful momma through so many different seasons of her life, and our friendship has grown right alongside that. So for her to be my first client of the year, and for it to be a maternity session - marking such a meaningful chapter, feels especially special.

We had hoped for snow the day of our session, and of course Indiana did what Indiana does best. No snow… until the very next day. Honestly, though, we didn’t need it, the wind was enough and gave the mood we needed anyway.

This session also took place in my own backyard, which adds another layer of appreciation for me. I get to watch this space shift through every season, and getting to create here (no matter the weather) gives me an immense amount of joy.

If you noticed, I’ve been a little tucked away lately, working with my hands and building things quietly behind the scenes. I’ll be sharing more of that (crafting, home decor, styling, and more) over on my personal Instagram so it has a place to live.

A new set will be open for sessions throughout February, and I’ll be sharing more when it’s ready. 🫶🏻

I’m looking for one adult female model (21+) for a bo***ir-leaning creative collaboration through my hidden offering for experimentation, inspiration, and artistic co-creation - The Muse.

This session will be part of a February set release and used for branding and promotional imagery. The focus is expressive, sensual, and intentional. Focused to explore desire and artistry in a way that feels elevated and collaborative.

I ended the year shooting with a photographer friend, and it felt like the right way to close it out. I’ve always loved branding sessions that go deeper than just looking professional. The little details matter, they’re like Easter eggs into the soul... things that hint at who someone really is when you’re paying attention.

Your brand should feel like you, and there's no better way to represent yourself than through imagery. Art and storytelling has always been one of the clearest ways to see into the human mind, and that’s always the goal here: to reflect who you are, not just what you do.

I can’t believe I’m only just now sharing this beautiful, enchanted engagement session - these two were pure storybook magic. ✨

I always forget how easy it is to slip into the rhythm of working behind the scenes… editing, messaging, planning sets, juggling minis, popping onto stories, adult-life things… and then suddenly it hits me that I haven’t actually shared the art I’ve been creating. So here we are in December, remembering again that my work deserves a little fresh air too.

But honestly? If I’m going to re-emerge, it may as well be with these two.

Andrew and Melinda brought such soft, romantic fantasy energy to their session. The kind that feels like wandering straight into the opening chapter of a medieval love story. Gentle gestures, warm smiles, inside meanings, and that quiet kind of connection that photographs like a spell. Their session felt like sunlight filtering through trees, warm air, and little whispers of something endearing and familiar moving around us. 🐞

And that’s the thing I love most about fantasy sessions. People think fantasy is something you “put on,” but I’ve learned it’s more like something you remember. A way of choosing your reality for an hour - stepping into the softer, more whimsical version of life that gets buried under work and errands and all the noise of everyday life.

I could photograph them for hours and still find new angles to tell their story.

And maybe that’s my reminder for the season: romanticize your life a little more. Show up for yourself. Don’t get lost in the mundane... it’ll swallow you whole if you let it. Share your craft, your art, your love, your weirdness, your joy. The world needs more of the things that make you feel alive.

So here’s me showing up, sharing the art I adore, and giving these two dreamy souls the space they absolutely deserve in my feed.

My Story

So why Nana Photography? I’m Briänna (Bri-ah-na) and it’s a nickname my brother gave me since he was little, unable to say my full name; to this day it sticks. I’m 21, with a passion to shoot your happiest moments!

I enjoy genuine photography, so your smiles, and laughter is what I aim to capture. I want to capture the genuine and natural expressions from behind the camera. The laughter as you dance, swing, and play; the movement in the way you spin, run, and stumble. (It happens to the best of us.) I want to snap the in between photos as you prepare for the fun, and silly prompts you get. The intimacy and bond you share with your friends, family, significant other or whoever you may be with, I want to be there to photograph.

With that being said, I want to leave our session with a new friend, because that’s how it should be. You’re not just another client, you’re a friend who I will continue to look forward to seeing again! I will be your friend, your third wheel, your cheerleader, and your hype girl!
