Sarah Treanor has spent a majority of her life using art to transform grief and trauma into hope and purpose. A spiritual connection to nature and creativity helped her shape that canyon into a beautiful inner landscape - rich with meaning and purpose. This is the space from which she creates. Although she is proficient in many mediums, Sarah works primarily in photography, encaustics, mixed media
and writing. She weaves these varied mediums together with her connection to nature and a spirituality rooted in grief. The dance between mediums energizes her, while her intuitive connections to spirit and nature lead her forward. Sarah’s work has been exhibited around the United States, licensed for book covers internationally, and won various awards and publication honors. Her art is in national and international collections. Her two most recent solo exhibitions were shown in a hospital setting, providing healing and comfort for patients and staff. Sarah Treanor lives in Northeast Ohio near Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where she is inspired by a richly forested landscape - so different from the coastal bays of her childhood.
