We had a blast yesterday evening in Orange Beach, Alabama! We all went on a dolphin cruise with a company called Cold Mil Creek. We took this same tour about four years ago and both trips were top notch. They place two boats side by side and open them up forming a 6 foot wake between the two boats. The dolphins ride the wake right off the boat for a great show. It is obvious that the dolphins are having a blast riding the wave. My youngest daughter Heidi Eskridge took this image of me photographing the dolphins. I’ll post some of the dolphin pics soon. I highly recommend this cruise and company. They are a little more expensive but an hour and a half of fun and excitement!

Since I’m in Orange Beach, Alabama, I thought that I would post something different than Galapagos wildlife. There is a breeding area near our beach house for Least Terns! Imagine that type of luck! This is a a least tern in flight. All pics were taken with a 600 mm lens well outside of the roped off area. Respect the terns privacy!

We stayed late at Prince Phillip’s Steps on Genovesa Island photographing the short-eared owls. I was still looking around as I made my way back to the Zodiac, bringing up the rear. Sometimes bringing up the rear of the line affords opportunities! It paid off!

Sea turtles anyone? This is the Pacific Green Sea Turtle, also called the Black Sea Turtle. I was hoping to just be able to swim with one!
