🍯 Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. 🐝💛

This little one celebrated turning ONE with a Winnie the Pooh inspired cake smash, and there was certainly plenty of hunny to go around!

From the Hundred Acre Wood backdrop and all those busy little bees to the sweetest little Pooh Bear right in the middle of it all, this was such a fun set to put together. And, of course, no cake smash would be complete without digging right in! 🎂

The adorable honey pot cake was created by MoniCakes , and it fit the theme perfectly. 🍯

Happy First Birthday, little one! Thank you for letting me capture such a special milestone. 💛

Happy Labor Day! 🇺🇸

Some people get Labor Day off...

And then there are moms. 😂

Laundry to fold.
Bottles to make.
Toys to pick up.
Little ones to love.
Coffee to reheat for the third time. ☕️

Because apparently nobody told the babies that today is a holiday. 😂

Here's to all the moms whose workday doesn't come with weekends, holidays, sick days... or sometimes even bathroom breaks. ❤️

One of the sweetest parts of my job is getting to watch your little ones grow. 🤍

I've had the joy of photographing this little sweetie several times throughout their first year, and every session brings something new—a new expression, a new little personality emerging, and another chapter to remember.

For this milestone session, we had a little too much fun creating several different setups! 🍕🌸🛁 From our tiny chef surrounded by pizza and pasta, to the sweetest little flower, and finally some rubber-duck bath-time fun… those smiles say it all!

This is why I love milestone sessions so much. Babies change incredibly quickly during that first year, and professional portraits don't have to be reserved only for the newborn stage and first birthday.

I typically recommend milestone portraits around 3, 6 and 9 months, followed by a Cake Smash for the big ONE! 🎂 Together, they create such a wonderful record of that incredible first year.

It's been such a joy getting to photograph this little one's journey, and we're getting closer and closer to that first birthday! 🥹🤍

Three looks. Two locations. One beautiful mama. 💙

Amanda is a local mama who chose my Studio + White Sands Maternity Combo and added an additional outfit, giving us the opportunity to create three completely different looks during her session.

We started in the studio with my Rust Kathy gown for a soft, romantic look. Then we changed things up with jeans and a sports bra for a simple, modern, relaxed look.

And for our final look, we headed to White Sands, where Amanda chose my Royal Blue Camille gown. 💙 That incredible royal blue against the white dunes was absolutely stunning!

This is one of the things I love about combining studio and outdoor maternity portraits. We can create completely different looks and moods while still telling the story of this beautiful season of your life.

Amanda looked absolutely gorgeous in every one. 🤍
