Made it one more year around the sun ☀️ 🎂

Here’s a collection of vignettes from this past year that make me happy 🤍

Praying that this next year brings a lot of joy-filled moments surrounded by family and friends. Thankful for all the wonderful moments and people I’ve been blessed with!

“I can’t believe I was trying to take these photos of myself, never again!”

You’ve probably seen her everywhere, but I want you to officially meet .easton from Kit Easton Designs.

Kristen is an interior designer based in Loudonville, NY dedicated to help transform your home into an elevated, but liveable space. She also specializes in curating spaces that are friendly to neurodivergent children.

Her work is absolutely fantastic and if you’re in the area and need a new change of scenery but don’t want to move, Kristen is THE person to go to!

Give her some love in the comments! 👇

In addition to all this, I’m also asking people in the moment how they like their headshots, making people feel comfortable, and adjusting for constant lighting changes. It’s the best ☺️

Images sitting in a folder make no one money. And I'm here to make sure that never happens.

Most photographers hand over a gallery and wish you luck. Every client I work with receives a checklist on how to actually use their images, with specific examples from their photoshoot that could work in different scenarios on their website, social media, LinkedIn, email signature and more.

When's the last time you actually used everything from your last shoot? I challenge you to pick a new photo and use it today.

If you've been avoiding posting on social media, this encouragement is for you.

Most people I know who don't post on social media either feel like the photos that they have feel cringy, or they don't have any photos at all.

Once we have visuals that we're proud of, showing up on social media (which we all know can help our businesses!) gets WAY easier.

What would you post if you had images that you actually liked?

Even when you're offline, your website is doing work for you. And your images on it are either building trust or raising doubt.

There's no neutral. Every image either works for you or against you.

So it's worth asking yourself honestly if the quality of the photographs match what you charge.

If the answer is no, then that's the gap worth closing.

Pretty photos alone don't grow a business.

Images that actually earn money help your ideal clients visualize themselves in your world - whether that means working with you, or being in your space.

Helping potential customers visualize themselves in your world makes them feel like it's less risky to purchase from you. Which means more sales... and who doesn't want that?

The industry doesn't matter as much as you'd think.

I've photographed chiropractors and electricians, dance studios and film production companies. On paper they have nothing in common.

But every single one of them cared deeply about how their business showed up, and knew their visuals weren't doing that work yet.

That's the only prerequisite for a great brand session. Not your industry or your business size. It's the decision that how you look online should match how good you actually are.

Swipe to see who I've worked with, and and what they all had in common.

When your voice is literally your product, your brand photos have to communicate more than just "professional."

Meet Kelly from KJO Studio - a voiceover talent specializing in narrative and explainer videos for corporations.

Kelly was launching a new service and wanted to show up online in a way that matched the level she works at. So we focused on three things her ideal clients needed to see before booking her: that she's professional, that she's genuinely enjoyable to work with, and that she welcomes direction.

You can't show that in a headshot. But you can show it through brand images.

We took photos at a studio with Kelly doing the actual work, which helped make the images ended up feeling exactly like her.

That's the goal every time.

Swipe to see the full session, along with what Kelly had to say about how it went.
