The best advice I can offer any couple is to book your wedding venue knowing you love the rain plan. If you do, it is a near guarantee that it won’t rain, but if it does you’re left with a beautiful alternative vs one you might dislike. Roundhouse is one of the few with a truly stunning rain plan, you still get great light, still get a beautiful setting and everyone fits well without being cramped. As you’re venue hunting, keep that rain plan in mind!

Working on some wedding information guides and came across this wedding day that I’m still in love with all these years later. Cheers to The Maker Hotel for creating such a magical atmosphere for this couple and to the couple for referencing the patriarchy in their vows and for spilling the beans on the groom’s nickname at work, ‘hot Sam’.
You know your vows are good when your photographer is quoting them two+ years later.

This is an ode to Mac and Maddie. Andrew and I photographed this wedding in 2022. I had met the bride as a maid of honor in another wedding. It turned out she makes wedding cakes and she eventually made our wedding cake! We then traveled to Acadia Maine to capture their wedding a few years later. It was a beautiful day and of course they brought their beloved dogs with them. They sadly lost two of their dogs this year, which had me looking back at their photos, and I wanted to make a post in memory of Mac and Maddie, two of the best dogs you could ever meet.

This couple also happens to own the famous so if you are ever nearby, definitely drop in and get yourselves some treats!
