Went out to Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge with the intent of hopefully finding the Black Crowned Night Heron that has been recently spotted there. Incredibly fortunate for me, within 20 mins of arriving this guy flew in and landed in the marshy area I happened to be parked next to.

While on Machias Seal Island photographing the seabirds, Brooke | Outdoors, Wildlife & Adventure pointed out that a boat could be seen coming through the fog. While taking some images of the razorbills framed up with the boat, I was fortunate to have a puffin fly through the frame for a landing. Couldn’t have asked for a better moment to see and capture.
