The Unknown Metal Box Documentary is 15 minutes long, and afterwards there will be a panel discussion about the Return of the Grizzly and the Unknown Metal Box. Remember that big old box of negagives that I scanned? The Unknown Metal Box? The documentary of it is done and it'll premier this next week at the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience in Albuquerque at the Lobo Theater. I'll be there! I'll also be joined by Lorraine, Eloy's sister, and apparently there's a Q&A afterward. I'm planning on grabbing a beer afterward somewhere.

I'm getting excited—just a few days from the New Mexico premier of The Unknown Metal Box! This coming Wednesday, September 25 at the Lobo Theater, 5pm. I'll be there along with Lorraine, Eloy's sister, and I believe there'll be a Q&A with us at the end. After that, I'll likely wander somewhere and have a beer (please send recommendations), feel free to join me! I'll post the location here in case you want to pop over and say hi.

As soon as the Filmmakers give me the go-ahead (probably after the Documentary Film Season is over) I'll post the documentary up here.

The schedule for the Albuquerque Film & Music Experience just was announced, and the Unknown Metal Box will be showing on Sept. 25 at the Lobo Theater. I don't think the filmmakers can go, but I'm planning on going! Rumors have it that there might be a panel discussion. Gosh, where to begin? I apologize for not posting more, but it's been a crazy year! In short, I did manage to get back to New Mexico this last month to see Lorraine Kersey (Pacheco), Eloy's sister, and returned the last bits of the Unknown Metal Box to her, and had a lovely dinner at Padilla's. Meanwhile, Madison Cavalchire and Maddie Stambler have completed the documentary and it's been accepted at several film festivals, including Albuquerque Film & Music Experience!

There's a good chance I'll make it to AFMX—and I promise I'll post about that.

Thanks for being along for the voyage and for helping bring this story to life.

It's been a while since I've sent an update; but the filmmakers tell me that work is underway and they're trying to wrap up the editing of the documentary in the early summer!
