Between picking vendors, finalizing guest lists, and worrying about the weather, it is so easy to lose sight of the fact that this is supposed to be a celebration of your love.

You don't need luck to have a stress-free wedding day, you just need a solid timeline! 🍀

As an Albuquerque wedding photographer, I’ve seen it all. The #1 thing that saves a wedding day from feeling rushed? The 30-Minute Buffer.

Where to put it:

Between hair/makeup finishing and putting on the dress.

Between the ceremony end and the start of family formals.

Things happen! A button pops, a bouquet arrives late, or you just need 10 minutes to breathe and hide from guests before the grand entrance. Building in "white space" ensures we get those dreamy portraits without looking at the clock every two minutes.

"It went by so fast, I barely remember it."

I hear this from almost every couple after the wedding. That’s exactly why I do what I do. I am constantly scanning for the "in-between" moments:

The nervous tap of a foot before the ceremony.

The look on grandma’s face when she sees the bride.

The quiet exhale when the couple is finally alone for their first post-ceremony portraits.

These aren't the photos you hang on your mantle because you have to; they’re the ones you hang because they make you feel that day all over again.

Winter is fading, the trees are budding, and it’s the perfect time to update those family portraits. 🌷

Why now? Because the NM light is soft, the temperatures are mild, and you won’t have that "end-of-summer" exhausted look! Whether you have little ones, teens, or are just wanting to capture your crew as they are today, I’ve got space for you.

My #1 Tip for a successful family shoot: Forget the "perfectly matched" outfits. Pick a color palette, add textures, and let everyone’s personality show. Comfortable kids = better photos!

3 Tips for a Standout Senior Session:

Bring a Prop that Matters: Whether it’s your guitar, your volleyball, or even your dog. Let’s show who you are right now.

Movement > Posing: We aren't doing stiff yearbook photos here. We're walking, laughing, and capturing your energy.

Location, Location: From the rustic Rio Grande trails to the urban grit of Nob Hill, Albuquerque has a backdrop for every personality.

"I love your photos!" is the best compliment I can get, but did you know that liking your photographer is just as important as liking their portfolio? 📸

You spend more time with your photographer on your wedding day than almost anyone else (even your future spouse, sometimes!). When you’re looking for 'The One' in Albuquerque, ask yourself:

- Do I like their editing style? (Are they vibrant and true-to-life, or moody and film-like?)

- How do they handle stress? (Do they bring the calm or the chaos?)

- The 'Beer/Coffee' Test: Could you sit down and chat with them for an hour?

Choosing someone who feels like a friend makes those candid, 'in-between' moments happen naturally.
