Shop hours and raceday update!!!

Mini z/ off road racing will remain our normal Monday start time of 5:30pm. Every Monday. Today is off-road and shop doors will open at 4pm for practice.

Only the first Sunday of every month is for whoop race.

Every MONDAY at 5:30pm is either mini-z or buggy/truck racing.

Regular business hours are Saturday 12-6pm. Sunday 12-6pm. Mondays are only for racing.

Everyone is welcome to fly whoops, practice cars on Saturdays and Sundays during regular business hours. Sorry for the confusion and we’ll see you tonight!!!

THIS SUNDAY the 9th! Dronemax is hosting a small outdoor 3in drone race at wildflower park. 8am arrival. Done by noon. Single lap style. We will then be having a swap meet at Dronemax from 1pm-3pm. Bring the RC goodies. And bring the vascular fingers to race! All skills welcome.

8am-noon

1pm-3pm.

DroneMax Spec Race Weekend Itinerary

SATURDAY July 11th

Event Format

Qualifying

Qualifying will be based on the highest number of completed laps within a 90-second heat.
Pilots will be evenly split into three classes based on qualifying results:
Novice
Intermediate
Pro

Class Advancement

The winner of the Novice Main will bump up into the Intermediate Main.
The winner of the Intermediate Main will bump up into the Pro Main.

Main Event Format

Mains will be run in a Chase the Ace format.
The top half of each main advances, while the bottom half gets to cheer on the remaining pilots.
Finishing positions will be determined by accumulated points throughout the Chase the Ace rounds.
In the event of a points tie, the tiebreaker will be determined by the finishing order in the heat where the tie occurs.
No race-offs will be conducted.

Heat Information

Number of pilots per heat is TBD.
Each new heat grouping will receive one warm-up practice pack before racing begins.

Awards

Trophies will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in:
Novice
Intermediate
Pro
A special Fastest Single Lap Trophy will be awarded based on race performance on Sunday only.

Tech Inspections

Available anytime leading up to racing.
Pilots may be subject to spot tech inspections throughout the event if concerns are raised.

10:00 AM - 2:00 PM – qualifying

2:00 PM - 3: 00 PM - lunch break

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Controlled Qualification Heats Continue

5:00 PM –mains setup with novice, followed by intermediate, then Pro.

8:00 PM trophy ceremony with closing track cleanup.

POW wow party at DroneMax! Whoop flying. Pizza party.
