So very proud of our daughter .julian for graduating manga cm laude from James Madison University. She also received the Sara Elizabeth Runyan Outstanding Service Award. Kylie has a graduate assistantship next year and will be at JMU for her master’s in Speech Language Pathology. Love you so much, Ky!!!!

💗My sweet lamb is 22 today!!!

🎉🍾🥳 She is the friend you want in your corner. This is the girl who saves ducklings from getting hit by a car, speaks sign language to the man working in the grocery store, bakes the perfect sour dough bread, started her own little business in college, makes everyone laugh with her sarcastic zingers, and is graduating magna cm laude in a couple weeks!! So proud of you, Kylie and love you so much! Happy birthday, sweetie!!! 🥳

Full-circle moments like this never get old.
Two years ago, I photographed his big brother’s first days. This time, I was invited back to welcome baby brother home. Documenting families as their stories continue to unfold is always special, especially when it’s two little boys, a football-inspired nursery, and parents who create a home filled with connection, tradition, and joy. These are the moments that make this work so meaningful. 🏈

Happy Halloween!!! 🎃
Hope you and your little pumpkins had fun tonight! I had the best time with baby Carter at his newborn shoot. Only 8 days old and already a model!! Note: There are weights in the bottom of his Trick-or-Treat basket, he is safely snuggled in with blankets, and daddy is right there (off camera) to guard just in case. Baby’s safety is always my number one priority! I can’t wait to finish editing this session!

1. Full-length, framed in a doorway or by a building
2. Up-close holding on to cap
3. Detail shot of tassel with the year
4. Looking off into the distance
5. Holding something fun like sunglasses, or something they enjoy (football, soccer ball, etc.)
6. Walking away (try to get a photo of the cap and gown from behind as if they are walking off into the future). I love her shadow in the last one!

Nothing more beautiful than a family session at the Jefferson Memorial! The marble columns and sunlight pouring through provide the perfect backdrop for portraits. Love this family! I did their daughter’s one year session two years ago, and it was so fun to see her as an almost four-year-old! They are moving from the DC area and wanted to have portraits to remember their time here.
