Winter is not my favorite, but fall sure is beautiful. I spent a weekend exploring with this family on their farm in Maryland to create a film that captures all their love for being outside and with each other. 🍂💛

I'm drowning in newborn pictures, but since the little guy is napping a lot, I've found a little extra time to edit. These are from almost two years ago. 😳 But I'm actually glad it took me this long to get around to them, because even though they've changed so much, I notice and appreciate more those little characteristics that are still present now, like how my middle son still likes to hide in plain sight. 😍 And my oldest's wild hair and zombiefied TV expressions. 😂 @ Mount Vernon, Virginia

How are we already so far into November?! I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving next week and to carrying on holiday traditions as we move into December. Family traditions are some of my favorite to document, especially with video. I loved taking part in our friends' annual Christmas tree picking tradition last year and creating this film for them to remember it all. It has me looking forward to pulling out the decorations with my kids in the days after Thanksgiving. What are your favorite holiday traditions?

I may be getting sentimental in my last weeks of pregnancy. 😊 There are lots of firsts with kids that are easy to demarcate. The "lasts" - not so much. I realized recently that I somehow never noted the last time I picked up my oldest. He's six now and I don't remember how old he was when I could still pick him up. I also don't remember when he stopped being able to go "spelunking" under the couch.

My littlest took to hiding under the couch when he and his brother listened to scary stories on Alexa over the summer. I came across this picture today and realized that sometime between when I took it in July and now, he stopped doing this. 😢

This is why I take pictures. Because otherwise I would forget these stories...💛
