I nearly stepped on these baby Killdeer!
I kept hearing mom and dad squawking, they were trying to distract me! These babies were so still, like teeny statues, they blended perfectly in the gravel. I snapped a few quick shots, in the fading light, and headed on my way, to the relief of the new parents, I'm sure...
