If I could go back and talk to the girl in the wedding dress I would say....
You are in a beautiful whirlwind of fairytale dreams right now. But soon, life will hit. And it hits hard. There will be seasons that challenge you in ways you never expected. And sometimes you’ll want to quit because that sounds easier...like a break in life almost.
But...through it all, you decide to choose each other instead. And you continue to choose each other, over and over, because it’s the promise you made on this very day.
Society will tell you that marriage should be a piece of cake, and it will get super confusing when you realize it isn’t. But the truth is, marriage is just like anything else in life that you want to succeed at...careers, business, parenting. It all takes hard work. Just as grueling as the bad times hit, you must fight back even stronger.
Marriage will always be a continual work in progress. And somehow, knowing that makes the good times feel even sweeter.
