I’ve been wanting to start the Off-Campus series for a while now, so I’m excited to finally jump into it.

If you’ve known me - you would know by now I suck expressing myself with words. Especially now typing this I really do not know where to begin to express how much losing you has affected me.

For over a year, I have pushed last year’s August and September events in a vault and moved on. Established businesses and ideas to get away from feeling things I really didn’t want to deal with. But - if there is one thing I’ve learned about stress and grief. That it is okay to let go and FEEL what you need to F E E L.

So, this year I did. Allowed myself to feel and also create an image of you.

Papi, I wish last year on August 30th 2023 wasn’t your ending. Yes, I am angry now but I hope it heals when time goes on.

I will continue to celebrate you in ways you would approve of.

I miss you.
