7 years ago this day brought us a good powder in Soeldel, Austria. I was making progress snowboarding and for the first time I was not in fear, but felt freedom and joy riding! Love was everywhere around: in a bright sun, in a fluffy fresh powder, in the music and atmosphere up in the mountains. I remember making a stop in the middle of the slope, taking pictures and enjoying this incredible vastness and beauty around.

30 minutes later I met you ❤️

So many things could go another way and this moment would never happen.

We never know what moment will change our life. So don't wait for this special moment. Live every moment. That's what makes them special 💫

"Bond"

If I had to highlight only one picture of the year, that would be probably the one.

There is something emotional and especially personal for me in this Dad&Daughter portrait. I choose this one from 150 pics of this family photoshoot and from thousands of other pics this year.

I often pay attention to dads and daughters and their connections.
Yesterday we were visiting our friends and I was again observing how the father and the daughter were connected. Dads and daughters so often have some special bond that is hard to explain but so easy to feel when you are in their field. This is a unique form of love that is unlike any other.

When I observe or photograph those connections I always think of my dad. I have the best dad you could only imagine and grateful my mom chose him amongst all other men. He is kind, sensual, honest, caring and so fun to spend time with ❤️ Papa I love you and dedicate this picture to you.

I had a very powerful experience this weekend. I was in women's circle photographing a retreat program for three days. Throughout multiple practices and classes I was observing and experiencing compassion, care and women's love and indifference. One of the reflections happened when after the nail standing (I would call it walking) practice, women were hugging me and I heard them saying how beautiful I am. Beautiful in tears, struggling throughout the practice, feeling relief, being without any makeup and in my home outfit. Not that I've never heard this before, but it was so important to hear it from the women I hardly know. I felt I can trust, I shouldn't defend, they are open and have only good intentions.
This situation showed me how important it is not to compete, not to envy or resist. Confrontation leaves us alone with our own fears, complexes, traumas. Kindness, love, sincerity makes us a whole and empowers us.

Feeling an aftertaste of a a good time in Israel. Not only I met my parents, but also had a chance to merge with the atmosphere and vibe of Tel Aviv.

I spent the very last day by myself. I remember wearing a swimsuit under my dress all day and never getting into the water. I think it was the first time I compromised swimming towards photography. I had my camera with me and kept observing people, water and soft incredible light.

I bought this small lense for travel and was absolutely happy that I could carry a camera with me everywhere.

It is an absolute pleasure to see how people live, laugh, play, swim and being happy. There is some incredible lightness in the air up there if it's the right word. You just want to jump and laugh from just being happy and feeling the moment...
