I was watching the NBC TV coverage of the Kentucky Derby race day and couldn't help notice all the cameras setup on the ground at the finish line and all with some sort of remote or automatic trigger. I counted at least 20 cameras setups there.

I couldn't help but wonder which cameras belonged to my friends Michael Corrado and Paul Van Allen, both of Nikon USA? Are they using the Nikon Z9 with the Auto Capture feature? Are they shooting stills or 8K video?

Newton's Third Law of Motion - Rodeo Style: For every force applied, there is always an equal and opposite reaction.

Photo shot with Nikon Z9 + Z 70-200mm. Camera settings were shutter priority @ 1/640s, f/2.8, 125mm, ISO 14,400. I was using the new firmware 2.0 AF Mode, Wide-Area AF (C1) along with AutoEye AF. Shot at 9:50pm in an outdoor arena with only the arena's LED lighting as a light source. The NEF raw image was processed using Nikon's NX Studio software.
