Had the oppoturnity to photograph some pretty talented kids while they rehearsed for their piano recital last weekend. Little kids with big instruments defitnitely presents some challenges but I enjoyed the performances... and the results!!

Irony: I posted a few of Chloe’s headshots just a few hours before finding out that she MADE THE TOP 10 in Nextstar Talent Competition’s 2026 cover model search!!! Way to go, kid!! (Wish I could take credit for the wicked awesome dance pose shot, too…🫤)

Chloe - 2025-26 Nexstar National Talent Competition cover model finalist. Not only is Chloe and excellent dancer (and a fun kid to be around!), she doesn't photograph too badly, either!!

Not every portrait session goes the way you want it to... and, sometimes, that's OK. I always ask parents to sort of put their expecations aside and promise that we'll get something that is beautiful in its own way.

Congratulations to Grace who took 3rd place, over the weekend, in the Photogenic category at Believe Talent Competition in Lancaster!! This was, literally, the last shot taken during her headshot session and we were just kind of goofing around... Hey, what do I know???? :-)
