There’s something I really love about photographing artists.

You get to create a little space for someone to step fully into who they are and then build something beautiful around that.

That’s what this session with Theresa was for me.

We played with poses, movement, expression, light, and all the little details that helped these images feel like her. A little edgy, a little playful, a little moody, and with just the right amount of badass.

I wanted to create portraits that felt intentional without losing the personality underneath them. Images that could live within her brand, while still feeling like a genuine reflection of the woman behind it.

There’s something I really love about photographing artists.

I know it’s been a little quiet around these parts lately, but for good reason.

I’ve been invited into so many beautiful spaces lately. Into mornings before the rest of the world arrives, into nervous anticipation and quiet excitement, into celebrations and all the little in-between moments that happen when no one is watching.

And when I’m there, I want to be there. Fully present. Quietly observing, documenting, and taking it all in alongside my couples. Making sure the moments I’ve been trusted with are given my full attention, and that the spaces I’m invited into are honored with the care they deserve.

So sometimes, this little corner of the internet gets a little quiet while I’m busy being present somewhere else.

But the photographs are piling up. The stories are waiting to be told.

Consider this me slowly opening the door again.

And what waits on the other side is the beauty of these moments, quiet and waiting to be seen, much like this dress.

Their first dance, made even sweeter with the little one who made their family three. 🤍

What started as a moment for just the two of them became something even more special as they welcomed their son into their arms and shared this little piece of their first dance together.

A beautiful reminder that this day wasn’t just about becoming husband and wife, but celebrating the family and life they’ve already built together. 🤍

An engagement session, as if from a page of one of the great novels of our time.

Two people beneath an endless sky, in a field somewhere far from everything, already carrying the quiet certainty that this would be their story.

The kind of love that makes the future feel less like something unknown and more like a place they are already walking toward together. They may not know every chapter yet, or what the years will ask of them, but there is something quietly certain in the way they look at one another, as if they already know how the story goes.

Through every season, every change, every chapter still waiting to be written, they would always find their way back to one another.

And perhaps that is the most beautiful part of it all: not knowing how the story will unfold, only knowing who you want beside you when you turn the page.

Some days feel a little like coming full circle.

I first met Anna & Jack when they were guests at another sweet couple’s wedding, never imagining that one day they would reach out and ask me to tell their story, too. So when their message came through and they remembered me from that day, my heart was so full. There is something really special about being trusted once, and then being invited back into someone else’s love story.

And then their day arrived.

There was something so easy about the way these two loved each other. The kind of love that made its way into every little moment, from the quiet ones to the ones that had us laughing in between. They were simply themselves, completely wrapped up in each other.

Golden light, the water beside them, wind catching her dress, and the two of them moving through the day exactly as they are. The kind of moments that don’t need much direction because they simply unfold on their own.

A little glimpse into Anna & Jack’s day, with so much more to come.

I hope you never stop chasing sunsets together. 💜

When these two told me they wanted their engagement session to feel spooky and moody, but without feeling like Halloween, I was immediately on board.

So we wandered through the woods, found an abandoned building, chased some shadows, and leaned into all those dark, quiet, slightly eerie little moments.

And then I looked at the water and thought… wait.

“Okay, hear me out…”

They were down.

So yes, we ended their engagement session barefoot in the questionable water.

And honestly, maybe it was the perfect ending. Maybe it was the setting, the light, the trees… or perhaps it was just a very quiet nod to Camp Crystal Lake. 👀

Whatever it was, it felt like the perfect way to end an afternoon that was entirely, wonderfully them. 🤍

First came “yes.”

Then “I do.”

Now, tiny fingers wrapped around yours.

Watching Martha & Wilson’s story unfold has been one of the greatest joys of what I do. I first had the honor of photographing their engagement, then their intimate backyard wedding, and now the sweetest chapter yet... their newborn chapter.

One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to walk alongside my couples as life continues to unfold. Whether that means welcoming a little one, buying a first home, celebrating an anniversary, chasing new dreams, or simply growing together, it is such an incredible privilege to witness these moments as their story evolves.

Long before Anthony got down on one knee, he had already spent months thinking about one thing: how to make Ariana feel just how deeply she is loved.

Every detail was chosen with intention. Every part of the day reflected the care he poured into creating a moment that felt true to the two of them. By the time he asked the question, all that was left was to simply be present together.

Watching anticipation turn into overwhelming joy is something I’ll never grow tired of witnessing. It’s a reminder that some of the most meaningful photographs aren’t just about documenting a moment. They’re about giving you a way to return to exactly how it felt, even years from now.

Anthony & Ariana, thank you for trusting me with such an incredible moment in your story. Congratulations on your engagement. It was truly an honor to witness the beginning of this next chapter. 🤍
